The New Year has come; I’ve been waiting patiently for it. I don’t know what I expected really, for me to wake up on 1/1/11 and feel new again. Instead I woke up, and felt more hung-over than I have ever felt…well in a REALLY long time.
I did my duties as a good Samaritan on Friday night. After walking around for 2+ hours in Center City looking for a cab, we came across a belligerent drunken woman who was kind of beating on some dude - later came to find out that the dude was her husband. She was throwing shoes, throwing purse, screaming battery on the street corner, lunging at said husband. Thankfully two very nice guys came along to help…I walked away to call 911 three times.
Paramedics finally got there, before the cops in fact, and I threw my hands up and walked off to find a cab. Said dudes wanted us to go back and keep partying with them…ooh well.
Missed the mummers parade on Saturday and I am quite upset about that, very upset I should say…sounds like it was one huge amazing party...next year maybe. But alas, that is how I rang in the new year...dancing the night away so hardcore that i also missed the countdown and the ball drop, no champagne toast, and no midnight kiss…
But I’ve recovered, the week has begun, and I need to stay on top of the goals I set out for myself.
1. Save everything and anything I can save. After this weekend I cant afford anything anyways so that should be ok.
2. Find a job in Denver. I’ve realized I don’t have time to search properly on my own, so maybe I can find a recruiter in Denver who can help me out. I got a name of one from a friend, she thinks they are national, I will look them up today and see if there is someone I can contact there...-Anyone out there know any recruiters that work with companies nationwide?
3. Ask current job if I can work from home remotely in Denver. I’ll have a back up (see #2) so in case they say no, and they are completely against it, I will still be moving.
4. Move to Denver by April…if not feasible due to lack of funds at that time, move by June.
5. Find happiness again (see #4)
#1, and #2 are currently in progress..
That’s all I have for today…
