This is Forbidden Drive...it is now part of the Wissahickon Creek once again. I'm going to vote that after this they don't even bother trying to fix it up...just wait for TS Marie to get here next week because it's going to happen all over again.
Worst commute ever this morning. My 15 - 20 minute commute took 2.5 hours. Yes you read right. I encountered road blocks due to flooding/flash floods, mud slides, washed out roads, even a sink hole. If the northern suburbs of Philadelphia were to ever be evacuated, I witnessed firsthand what it would be like. Mind you...I take back roads to work; I also travel in the direction OPPOSITE to the rush hour traffic. Grid locked. EVERYWHERE. I have never in my 8 years of living here seen anything like this.
I love rain. I really do. I enjoy playing outside in it; I enjoy watching it fall from the window. I enjoy listening to the pitter patter sound it makes on a tin roof. I do NOT...repeat...do NOT enjoy sitting in 2.5 hours of traffic.
I wonder what the Schuykill River looks like right now...I'll go take a look this evening after work...if I get home. Maybe tomorrow since I have the day off.
Did I mention it’s supposed to rain through this weekend and next week as well?
Rant over. I guess I'll go get some work done now...
