Refreshing

All I have been saying is that I need to get through the August and I would be ok. It’s September 1st today. I made it through the month of August. I made it. I think the rest of the year, from here on out will be better. It will be stressful at times no doubt, but I don’t think it will be near as bad as my summer has been...err was.

I woke up with a smile when I realized that I would be able to leave the house and would drive in the crisp morning air. I put on my long brown shirt and layered my DC tee over it. Last I wore this was last winter. Made me happy. It’s more snug on me, but whatever I don’t care.

Hopefully the rest of the week will be good too…though I am not holding my breath. If I get my package in the mail by Thursday…or even on Friday I will be a happy camper. I went to track it today and it said it won’t be here till the 9th. I am impatient damnit! Do I really have to wait till next Thursday to get it, why can’t I have it NOOOOOOW!?!!?? I’m like a little kid who was told that if they are good they will get ice cream for dessert. Well when you tell them that before dinner what is the point? They could care less about dinner; why not just skip to the dessert? Sigh. I don’t think that was a good comparison…

I had a massive salad for lunch, sort of defeated the point of going healthy by loading it up with feta cheese...that was about 4.5 hrs ago and I am still stuffed…I might have to opt for a light dinner and make my what will be amazing baked/grilled chicken that has been marinating all day for tomorrow…another day to marinate will only make it that much better. Well, that is what I shall tell myself.

The past week I feel like I have been really productive in getting things together:

• I went to get my eye exam
• Got my trail pair of contacts and waiting on the doc to call me back in to say a different trail pair is ready with a more accurate prescription for my right eye…
• Went and picked out two pairs of glasses since my current ones…well I am really scared and quite certain that they will break any day now. I’ve had them since my junior year of high school. It was time for another pair I would say….
• I made an appointment to get a manicure and pedicure before the wedding. I don’t remember the last time I got a manicure and pedicure. Yowza.
• I’m picking up my bridesmaids dress in exactly a week… and I am not going to lie, I am sort of excited for it. I have warmed up to the idea of wearing pink. Technically though I guess the color is ‘watermelon’ but yes…I have warmed up to it…

Of course all that means the money I managed to save up the past month all went down the drain. And savings is back at $0. Actually no, I have $50 in there…which I am saving for a rainy day…but anyways, I got a few things I need to save up and pay off…by the end of the month.

So I’ve been patiently…well I guess rather impatiently waiting for something pretty much all summer. And its September now and I still haven’t gotten it. I keep checking and being hopeful…I guess I should stop. :( it makes me sad, but I told myself I won’t be a pester and keep asking.

I noticed last week that there are these little bugs in my office. they look like fruit flies…but smaller…I have plants in here but I have had the plants in here since I moved into the office…so it’s not that…I don’t have any food in my office either…I wonder if anyone else has these in their office…and if they do, I need to know how to get rid of them.
